Our Rental Agreement

When it comes to renting equipment we want to be up front about our Rental agreement rather than have you just "check the box" during the rental process. Here is the full agreement so you can read through it before you decide. If you have any questions at all, just contact us.

RideWell Rentals, LLC (“RideWell”) rents mobility scooters, electric wheelchairs, and related accessories (collectively referred to as “Equipment”) to the individual signing this agreement (“Renter”). The rental is subject to the following terms and conditions.

Equipment Condition

The Equipment is the sole property of RideWell and is in good working condition when received. The Renter agrees to return the Equipment in the same condition, subject to inspection and necessary battery recharge, at the end of the rental period or sooner upon demand.

Personal Property

RideWell is not liable for any loss or damage to property left with or transported by the Renter or any person using the Equipment. The Renter assumes all risk of such loss and waives any claims against RideWell, agreeing to indemnify and hold RideWell harmless from any resulting claims or damages.

Renter Responsibilities

The Renter affirms that the Equipment is provided in good operating condition. The Renter is responsible for any damage, loss, theft, or destruction of the Equipment and will reimburse RideWell for replacement costs. Any exchanges deemed non-defective may incur a fee.

Operation of Equipment

The Renter shall operate the Equipment with care, complying with all relevant policies and ordinances. The Equipment is not to be operated by anyone under 18 years of age or used for tandem riding, and Renter is prohibited from using mobile devices while operating the Equipment. The Renter agrees to defend and indemnify RideWell against any claims arising from the use of the Equipment.

Reporting Damage or Loss

The Renter must notify RideWell within two hours of any accidents or damage caused by improper use. The Renter agrees to report any Equipment malfunctions immediately.

Representation

The Renter or driver of the Equipment is not an agent or employee of RideWell. If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue to apply.

Payment Policies

RideWell accepts major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express) for payment. Prepaid debit or gift cards, as well as checks or money orders, are not accepted. Identification may be required upon delivery.

Delivery and Pick-Up

Delivery and pick-up times are subject to confirmation and may be adjusted based on availability. If the Equipment is deemed “abandoned,” a $75 fee will be charged.

Cancellation and No-Show Policy

We understand that plans can change and are happy to work with you on rescheduling your rental if it becomes necessary. If you need to cancel rather than reschedule, a full refund will be made for cancellations 24 hours prior to your rental. For cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice, will be charged a $50.00 service fee. Cancellations after the Mobility scooter has been delivered to the drop off address, will not receive a refund of any kind.

Rental Extensions and Equipment Return

The Equipment must be returned by the specified date. Extensions may be granted at RideWell’s discretion, with a $30 fee for each additional day. The Renter is responsible for any lost or damaged accessories.

Battery and Key Management

Renter must charge the Equipment nightly. Neglecting to do so may result in inadequate battery power, for which the Renter is responsible. A $15 fee applies for lost keys.

Safety Instructions

A printed manual with safety and operational instructions is available upon request at the time of rental.
